BIG RADIO Ben Nardolilli
You were ordered to give up his big radio
on the sphere you turn off with a button he gives
in earshot far away from his hats by the floor I can control it hides
definite waves-it is a lot of you and is sorta everything
of me off the speaker they hear the ground and everything above is gained
without feeling under things gain the echo so they move
when I push it down the image is visible
to the ears of the forest the actress is more than a girl from the Green party at peace.
This poem can be considered a collaborative work of sorts, in that I took a previously published poem -- Lyn Hejinian's "Small Television" -- and tried to construct its "opposite" in both a literal and figurative sense.
